Hop on your bike this winter
The mercury may be dipping as the leaves fall from the trees and winter creeps up on us, but this doesn't seem to have put off the thousands of Brits who are strapping on their helmets and going out cycling this autumn.
Inspired by Britain's gold medal successes at the Olympics this summer and Bradley Wiggins storming to victory in the Tour de France it appears that there are an increasing number of cyclists out on the roads in Great Britain.
The UK's biggest bikes retailer Halfords has reported that like-for-like cycle sales increased by 14.7 per cent in the three months to the end of September, while overall like-for-like sales jumped up 5.6 per cent in the quarter.
However, if you are planning on getting out on your bike this winter, it is important to keep yourself protected against the chilly British weather with the appropriate clothing.
So alongside your helmet and snazzy cycling shorts, be sure to invest in a lightweight waterproof jacket so you remain dry and comfortable even if Mother Nature treats us to a downpour.
